Brawl Chess cartoon-style chess set to launch November 26 for Xbox One and Switch, in 2021 for PC

Cyberprotocol developer RedDeerGames, in partnership with animation studio Platige Image, will release a cartoon-style chess game Brawl chess for Xbox One and Switch on November 26, followed by PC via To smoke in 2021, the company said.

Here’s a look at the game, via RedDeerGames:

Are you ready to become a champion? Choose your hero and challenge other players in this animated cartoon style family game. Train your brain and bond with your loved ones at the same time.

In this fantastic world, one of the brave heroes leads your chess army to victory. Choose between a mysterious fairy, a dangerous dwarf, an intelligent elf, a brave prince and many more. Thanks to them, each round turns into an epic adventure.

Graphics for Brawl chess were designed by Platige Image (Oscar nominee Cathedral, The witcher Netflix series, movie trailers for League of Legends, Halo 5, and Cyberpunk 2077). They filled the chessboard with various heroes and a lot of humor.

Cartoon visuals make the game accessible to everyone. What is happening here! Arrows flying above heads and swords crashing in the heat of the moment. Or maybe you prefer classic chess? You can still switch to traditional pieces.

Brawl chess connects the generations in a multiplayer mode, but the single player mode will appeal to players of all ages as well. There are 5 difficulty levels. The former is great for children to learn. The fifth is suitable for chess veterans looking for a serious challenge.

Main characteristics

  • Local multiplayer – Your family will love this version of chess. Fancy a happy competition between parents and children? It’s possible. Also invite the grandparents, they certainly know the rules.
  • Welcomes children – It’s a game for the whole family, easy to learn and fun. Play it regardless of your age. Thanks to the dynamic cartoon style, children will also join in the fun.
  • Brain training – But in a fun way! Brawl chess looks modern while being one of the oldest and most popular games in the world with all of its benefits. It increases IQ, improves arithmetic skills, teaches analytical and critical thinking. Practice using both hemispheres of your brain.
  • Creativity boost – The fun should not stop after turning off the console. When the father plays like a ghost and the son plays like a prince, they can perform scenes with these characters after the game of chess is over.
